Yellow Springs Ohio Music Resources Rundown...

Yellow Springs Ohio has been around since 1825. It classifies itself a village with only about 4000 people. I wanted to include it in my list of musician friendly cities and towns because, quite simply, it is unique.
It’s community is diverse and many political and social views are openly represented here. There is a strong emphasis on kindness and being open and friendly. The downtown thrives on it’s eclectic assortment of restaurants and shops.
Yellow Springs is home to Antioch, a private, independent liberal arts college that has been around since 1852. This gives the village a decidedly “college town” undertone, and is very receptive to new music and musicians in general.
The overall U.S. National crime rate average is 319.2 crimes a year. Yellow Springs averages only 141.6. It’s a pretty safe place. That’s great news for musicians bringing in expensive gear to play here at night.
The nearest cities to Yellow Springs are Springfield , Fairborn, and Xenia.
